Classification and Precautions of roll up doors

roll up doors can be classified into two categories based on their opening mechanisms: manual and electric. The former relies on torsion springs for balance to enable manual opening and closing, while the latter is driven by an electric motor for automatic operation, making it suitable for scenarios requiring frequent use. In terms of materials, common types include aluminum alloy roll up doors (resistant to ultraviolet rays and with strong weather resistance), crystal roll up doors (transparent and aesthetically pleasing, ideal for shop displays), stainless steel roll up doors (wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and easy to clean), and high-speed roll up doors (with an operating speed of up to 0.6 meters per second, featuring thermal insulation, dust prevention, and fire resistance, widely used in industrial settings).

When using roll up doors, there are three key points to pay attention to: First, it is strictly prohibited to stand or place items beneath the shutter during opening and closing to prevent the door from getting stuck or the motor from being damaged due to malfunctioning limit switches. Second, regularly inspect components such as tracks and rollers at least once every six months, promptly clear away debris, and apply lubricating oil to prevent operational jams. Third, avoid overloading the shutter; the door height should be based on the clearance requirements for vehicles or goods, and it is forbidden to force objects exceeding the door frame dimensions through, to prevent damage to the tracks or door panels. During routine maintenance, if any deformation of the door, abnormal motor noise, or malfunctioning limit switches are detected, the shutter should be immediately stopped and professional maintenance personnel should be contacted for repairs.
